The Borgo di Pianciano has its origins in the Middle Ages. The houses were originally built to accommodate the soldiers guarding the Castle of Pianciano, located on the hill overlooking the valley.
Over the centuries, farming families replaced the garrisons, and the old stables and agricultural outbuildings were gradually transformed into dwellings — now carefully restored and turned into welcoming holiday homes.
Since the 1990s, Engineer Francesco and Claudia have undertaken a long and meticulous restoration of the Borgo di Pianciano.
Over the course of thirty years, the ancient rural settlement has been transformed into a haven of vacation and relaxation, where the charm of the past meets the comfort of the present.
Together with their daughter Livia, the owners lovingly care for the gardens and homes, welcoming guests from around the world and offering authentic experiences in a place that remains, above all, a home.

Built by the Pianciani Counts at the end of the 17th century in the Valle della Spina, the villa was a center of art and aristocratic life throughout the 17th and 18th centuries.
Today, thanks to the Bachetoni Rossi Vaccari family, the villa preserves its historical charm, and during their stays at the Borgo di Pianciano, it is possible — upon request — to join private historical tours personally guided by the owners.
